Our client originally was approached by a predatory competitor that charged her 33%.   They didn't handle her claim for 6 months before her contractor told her to give us a call.  No matter our efforts the insurance carrier stuck with their original decision to not pay her claim.  We submitted every document they requested of our office. Judi has sought the assistance of a law firm.   This shows that how the claim is handled in the beginning will affect the rest of your claim.

Without our efforts Judi and her attorneys would not have the documentation needed to settle or  try her case.

It is unfortunate but what you do, say, and do not do will be used against you by your insurance carrier.

This Clark Howard Fox News clip is from 7 years ago but could not be more true today.

The sad truth is that if your carrier is not fighting you then they are most likely underpaying your claim.   Some companies will fight you every time.  Insurance claims are not fast and if they are paying quickly, they are trying to shut down your claim.

Clark has another video where he says that insurance companies are only paying 65 cents on the dollar to settle claims.  I agree that they are underpaying claims but 65% is unlikely if you are not getting professional assistance.

We are IICRC certified and have the knowledge and experience to assist your claim against the insurance carrier.

The insurance company is not certified in mitigation and the state of Nevada does not require the carrier's claims department to be licensed adjusters.

We service the Clark County  and Nye County areas.

Our team has local knowledge of Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, Mesquite, Laughlin, Pahrump, Northern Nevada, or wherever you’re located, can be a significant asset. We are familiar with local building codes, construction costs, and can often leverage  our relationships with local insurers to your benefit.

Choosing the right fire claims adjuster involves considering their experience, licensing, reputation, how they charge, and their familiarity with your locality. By your side, you can navigate the claim process more smoothly and focus on what truly matters – rebuilding and recovery.

Choosing our company ensures you’re well-equipped to handle this challenging journey.

There are many companies posing as local public adjusters, but they are from out of the state.  They may do work in Nevada, but they are not in Nevada.  Out of state adjusters will have to cover the additional expenses to handle your claims.  Not every company has actual local staffing.  Most claims will need your adjuster to meet with the insurance carrier, contractors, and vendors...several times even.  How are they going to cover those travel costs.  We charge a fair fee for this area, not all of the competition can say the same.   Contact us to further discuss your claim.

Here is how you can tell that your adjuster is not in Nevada:

  • Out of town area code or toll-free number
  • They will use the term boots on the ground
  • Virtual office used as their mailing address
  • Their website mentions they handle claims in states not neighboring Nevada

How much does a public adjuster charge in Nevada?

Public adjusters typically charge a percentage of the claim settlement. In Nevada, this fee can vary depending on the complexity of the claim and the amount of work required to settle it. Generally, fees range from 12% to 20% of the total settlement amount. It’s important to discuss fees upfront with your fire public adjuster to understand what you will be charged once the claim is settled. Investing in a public adjuster can often lead to a significantly higher settlement, which can offset the cost of their fee.

Nevada does not have a fee cap, but we have seen companies charge 25%-33%.  Thier clients then called us to finish our competitor's unfinished business.  Most of those claims did not have any circumstance or reason to charge fees in excess of 20%.   We find that some public adjusting companies operating in Nevada charging high predatory fees.

A denied claim is a tough claim to get reversed and is the reason why you should get a public adjuster involved after the loss.

These claims may warrant a 20% fee.
